One of the most useful property resources that I have come across online is the Property Tribes forum. Founders & full time residential landlords Nick Tadd and Vanessa Warwick have attracted over 6,000 contributors since the site was launch in 2009.
There is a real wealth of information here. All sorts of subjects pertaining to property investing are discussed, sometimes at length. Contributors include seasoned investors with years and years of experience under their belts, others are new to property investing.
For ease of reading and navigation, subjects are divided into categories, or “tribes” of interest. When you join the forum, you can choose which categories to subscribe to so that you can keep up to date with the latest discussions on your topics of interest. Among others, these include:
- buy to let
- property-related finance
- Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMO’s) and multi-lets
- student accommodation
- refurbishment and development
- investing in overseas property
- holiday lets
Sign up to the site, get yourself a cup of tea, and settle down for several hours’ reading.
Be warned though – it’s addictive!
