Another recommended by Steve Bolton, I have added this to my list of books to read. Seth Godin is a bit of a legend of our times with his sometimes revolutionary perspectives into business and marketing, so what he says is worth perusing if only to make us think.
The Dip: The extraordinary benefits of knowing when to quit (and when to stick) discusses that point in a venture where enthusiasm and excitement have worn off, when it all feels really tough and we wonder whether we should carry on. The feeling will probably be common to most people who have started out on their own, and the author asks whether this point really is a Dip. or is it a Cul-de-Sac? If the latter, it’s probably time to cut our losses and move on.
Having a fair amount of experience of both Dips and Cul-de-Sacs in my time, I am looking forward to reading this.
